    Hi,
My name is Kendra Shrader and I am the school counselor for Clearwater – Orchard High School here in Nebraska. I have a young gentleman that is very interested in the video game career field. He is currently looking for someone with experience to possible call or skype with to ask questions. Is there anyone on this site who would be willing to speak with him?

    Thanks!

    Hi Marcus,

I run an arts education program for people with developmental disability. My program offers a number of regular visual and performing arts courses. A number of our students are on the autism spectrum and many of them love gaming and computers in general. I’ve had a few students request a course in creating video games, but i do not have the skills to teach them. Do you know anyone who might be interested in teaching such a course. I could pay them. My email address is jhoggatt@olliewebbinc.org. Thanks for your help.

  3. Hi Marcus,

Would you be open to sharing information with the OGDA community about Extra Life – a 24-hour Gaming Marathon to benefit kids served by Children’s Hospital & Medical Center? All funds raised stay local. You can sign up online at ChildrensFoundationOmaha.org/extralife. Then ask friends and family to donate to your fundraising page. Play any game on any platform. Game Day is November 5 (but you can play on any day that works for you). We know gamers comprise a caring and giving community. I just learned about your organization and hope you can share the word. I can provide a flier and social media posts to share if you are interested. Thanks for considering this unique opportunity to help local kids served by Children’s. My email address is jphillips@childrensomaha.org.

    Hi Marcus,

I am the News Editor for the award-winning Bryan High Orator Newspaper. I am writing an article on the opportunities for game design here in Omaha. I am looking to get the commentary of local game developers. Let me know of a time when I can meet in person or over the phone. Thanks!

I would invite you to come to our meeting on Thursday evening, December 8th, at the Do Space at 72nd and Dodge.

    • Marcus Seldon says:

      Paul
My sincerest apologies for the extremely late response. Though if you are still interested in getting commentary about local game development you are more than welcomed to come to out next meeting this coming Thursday, January 12, at 7pm at DoSpace. Alternatively you can contact me directly at seldonmarcus@gmail.com. If you are no longer interested I completely understand.

      Marcus

Hello. I am a freshman at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and studying computer science with a concentration in game programming. I was looking for some information on internships in the Omaha area or just some basic information on the game development career field. If you could email me whenever you a have a chance that would be great. Thank you.
